You're kind,sweet and very accommodating
yes that's a virtue few people can brag
you are an angel that everyone ends up liking
Your nature is to please the people around you
you don't want to hurt them or bother you
so what is it that you do?
you tolerate them and don't tell them the TRUTH
What's in your mind is the reality of your thoughts
but you fear disappointment
so you just say nice things
it's good when you do it
sometimes when situations permit
but not all the time especially with me
Your thoughts and opinions matter to me
I don't want you to say 'yes' just to please me
tell it to me darling like it is
for I'm your wife not somebody's niece
No more hesitating to tell me what you think
I've told you before that you mean so much to me
that I want you to be honest with me please
just don't hide what exactly you want to say
just so you think that you won't hurt me today
I'd rather hear what my darling you want to tell me
than dig it out of you like some findings in archaeology
so please I beg of you my husband from now on no more
of not telling me what you really feel or care for
I appreciate your honesty above all else
because our bond is sacred, you're just not somebody else
please don't 'please' me by not telling me really how you feel
it hurts me more when your true thoughts or opinions you conceal
whatever they are please lay them out in the open
I'm your wife! I love you and nothing will happen
You are my life my dearest and I respect you so much
What you like and think matters to me very much
all I ask is that you be honest with me
no more NOT telling me like it is,
please won't you do this for me honey?

There is a prolem in always trying to please others. Sooner or later one gets fed up and blows off steam. But to whom? Now that is the question.

It's obvious that the wife loves her husabnd so much to want him to be himself with her. Perhaps she's seen him being tolerant of all the people around him and feels that he's miserable doing it. She wants to set him free I guess. Very nice poem Neneps.

The wife is not asking for material things from her husband but only that he reveal his true self to her. What a woman! This is what I call unconditional love. Hopefully, the husband will be honest about his thoughts and opinion with his wife. How hard is that? Can he really do it?
