I am a happy individual and I LOVE life. Some people say that I am too passionate about the things that are dear to me but I say..."Hey! You only live once!" I love to write about very simple things like the people and things that I have observed, childhood and teenage memories, about love and marriage etc. I am also into quite alot of poetry writing these days. Enjoy reading my fellow readers and fans. ;)

A Father's Joy

I am so proud and happy today
I just phoned my daughter
her O' Level results to ask her
she has passed with flying colours
I'm so thrilled and delirious

All her hard work has paid off today
I can see her smiling away
so now to college off she'll go
just like what I told her so

I cannot describe my emotions now
a father's joy with tears that flow
I now have to work extra hard
paying for college isn't a walk in the park

I'll do what I have to do for her
just so that she'll have a bright future
what else can I expect of her?
I love my girl, I'm her father

Today I'm going to give her a treat
to a nice dinner and hope she likes it
It's my way of showing her I'm so happy and glad
she's my joy, my pride and I'm her DAD.

What a young dad to have a daughter who's in her late teens. Cute poem. The father has every right to be happy. Congratulations to the father and his daughter.

Is this a continuation of the poem,"My Daughter's Going To College?" He's got a very smart daughter. Well written poem.

I am a dad myself. I know how the father here feels. He has every right to jump for joy.

I like this poem. It's short and to the point. Where do you get all your pictures Neneps? I also noticed that there is a shift to the theme of your poems.
I like the father character here. Sounds like a nice dad.

I can certainly feel the father's joy here Neneps. A good effort on your part to portray the father's feelings of joy here. Keep up the great work.

Neneps! I want to read more love poems from you. This poem is nice but I prefer your love poems. I want to read more of them.
